Write for us
We welcome pitches that help general readers understand public information, civic language or the stages behind shared decisions. Contributions should explain a specific question clearly without turning into personal, legal or policy advice.
What we welcome
Pitch an evergreen explainer, a comparison of document types, a careful account of a civic term or a step-by-step reading approach. Strong proposals choose one reader question and show what the reader will be able to understand afterward. Keep the scope focused and make clear where meanings or procedures may vary.
What makes a good pitch
Tell us the working title, the central question, the main points you would cover and why the explanation would help a general reader. Include relevant experience or sources you plan to use, but do not claim access or expertise you cannot substantiate. Avoid unsupported assertions, invented examples presented as fact and advice that depends on local rules.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication. Please do not send a complete article unless it has been requested.
